Dear Drifter

Dear drifter, shape-shifter, courageous one committed to the call. Confusion at first
happens to all, clarity gained with time and trust, space needed to test the wings within the
winds that carry you. Running wild with the wolves and not the sheep, the mountains path
is winding and steep, thankful for those trekking a similar way - even if only for a short while.
Each unique, not one is the same, built-in compass to use on our own, all heading to the
place we call home. The heart of the matter, found at the peak. Only shortcut is knowing
that there’s no shortcut. Built to face all that comes our way, at times footing stumbles and
body sways, veering off - a detour, surrender to the pull and not the push, accept the gift of
surprise and serendipity in adventures unplanned. All the while enjoy the freedom to
express, voice and gestures may be shaky, at times may feel repressed. All that we need we
already have, attune to the senses, capacity grows, receptive to the present of presence.
Strangers and friends, signposts as reminders of which way we are headed. Walking through
unknown territory, uncharted waters we must navigate. A shedding required, accept change
to transform and mutate. This cycle of wholeness and emptiness, a gift in itself when the
penny drops, shed light on the shadows, a budding intimacy that grows, digging deep to find
the will, adjust and integrate lessons learnt, permission to feel in the moments we sit still.
Close your eyes and place hand on heart as lips turn to smile, lotus blossoms at its own
pace, not meant to be easy, the fears that we face may we meet them with grace. Build
your container, invest and commit to your personal power, inspired actions, may you gain
traction in all that you endeavor to do. Traveler, a gentle reminder to play and rest,
release the grasping, so as to let the open palm receive what we are willing to believe we
are worthy of.
